Today the Fresno County Board of Supervisors marked their first meeting of
2018 by naming District 3 Supervisor, Sal Quintero, as Board Chairman for the year. Supervisor Quintero steps into the role in place of District 1 Supervisor, Brian Pacheco, who concludes his 12-month term as Chairman.
Subsequently, District 2 Supervisor Andreas Borgeas, was named Vice Chairman, the role
previously held by Supervisor Quintero.
The roles of Chairman and Vice Chairman are served in 12-month terms, rotating annually between Supervisors.
To commemorate the day, the Board also welcomed Mayors and representatives of Fresno County’s 15 incorporated cities to today’s meeting to recognize their efforts, collaboration and ongoing partnerships in strengthening our communities and improving lives of County residents.
The Board of Supervisors also proclaimed 2018 “County Cities’ Year”. Mayors or representatives from all 15 cities within Fresno County were in attendance to take part and receive recognition.
