UPDATE: Tree removal work has been completed and Kearney Park has been reopened as of February 9, 2018.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kearney Park, located on W. Kearney Blvd in Fresno, will be temporarily closed to the public beginning tomorrow, January 31, as crews begin work to trim and remove more than 100 hazardous trees.
A public notice announcing the closure has been posted at the park entrance. It is anticipated that the park will reopen by February 28, however, the dates of closure are subject to change.
The work is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and address high tree mortality resulting from the extended period of severe drought.
