The County of Fresno has closed escrow on a 2.8 acre of land to build a new animal shelter in Fresno near Dan Ronquillo Drive and West Avenue. This week the Fresno County Department of Public Health and the Fresno Humane Animal Services approved the new site plan which was developed in partnership with the Fresno County Department of Public Works and Development Services. Both these steps are critical to building a new shelter.
This is an exciting and long-awaited project that will help to benefit the County, our furry friends and all those who work so diligently and compassionately to serve them.
Look for the ground breaking in early 2020!
