January is National Blood Donor Month, and Fresno County is proud to join with Central California Blood Center and the City of Fresno – Office of the City Manager to help address the critical need for blood donations in the Central Valley. The City and County recently teamed up to support three simultaneous blood drives and encouraged employees to come out to donate if they were able.
Donation locations were set up in downtown Fresno at the Department of Public Health’s Fulton St offices and at Fresno City Hall, and an additional location set up at the Department of Social Services Clovis campus. During the day, 199 City and County staff came out to donate and meet the emergency need in our community!
Thank you to all who rolled up their sleeves to help!
The need continues in our area and across the country, so please consider becoming a blood donor. For more info on how to donate blood and save lives here in the Central Valley and beyond, visit donateblood.org.
