You are invited to join with the Fresno County Probation Department’s James Rowland Crime Victim Assistance Center in its virtual campaign for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week from April 19-25, 2020.
Every year, thousands of Fresno County citizens are affected by crime. National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a time to celebrate progress, raise awareness of victims’ rights and services, and stand with those whose lives have been forever altered. This year’s theme, Seek Justice, Ensure Victims’ Rights, Inspire Hope, honors the individuals and organizations whose efforts have advanced the victims’ rights movement, supporting victims and their communities on their journey to seeking justice and finding hope and healing.
The James Rowland Crime Victim Assistance Center will be presenting a social media campaign throughout the week, to raise awareness for victims’ rights. We ask you to follow the Fresno County Probation Department’s Facebook page and follow along for daily posts during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. (https://www.facebook.com/FresnoCoProbation/ ).
We also encourage you to share the posts and help spread awareness of victims’ rights. Together, we can let victims know that they are not alone by showing our support. By empowering victims, we give them a voice in the process, and when you give victims a voice, you give them hope!
